MAATRU VANDANE

MAATRU VANDANE

Worshipping God as a mother has been an inherent part of Indian culture, and we at URise India Foundation strive to preserve and promote our rich culture heritage. An initiative towards this is the Maatru Vandane celebrations conducted annually during Dusshera.

Maatru Vandane is a special ceremony conducted during Vijayadashmi, symbolizing the child’s reinitiation into the arts. The ceremony includes three significant rituals: the Paada Pooja for the child’s mother, expressing gratitude for her nurturing role; Saraswati Pooja for the Goddess of knowledge and the arts, seeking blessings for continued learning; and the Guru Pooja for the teacher, offering heartfelt thanks for their guidance and inspiration in the child’s artistic journey.

Join us every Dussehra in introducing our children to the rich traditions and culture of India through the heartfelt celebration of Maatru Vandane.
