My name is Mao Wen Man (Purna) from China. In 2020, I went to India for the first time to take part in a yoga instructor training course in Ashram and it was during this course that I met Anjana and the sight of her dancing set my heart on fire with the crazy idea of learning from Bharatanatyam. And fortunately, Anjana is not only a dancer but also a teacher. She teaches with a sense of justice and power and very carefully corrects my most subtle mistakes. Learning Bharatantyam with Anjana and making the foundation is a great blessing for me.

I have been a part of UVSA from my childhood days and the teachings of Maa Chinmayee ma’am has been an integral part of my growing years. UVSA is a world that opens each student’s eyes to understanding every nuance of music and guides us to better deliverance. It is an institution par excellence that creates a complete individual moulding each variety of clay into finite sculptures. It has been a great experience learning under ma’am and being a part of UVSA.

Chinmayi ma’am is one of those wonderful gurus you meet for a brief period in the journey of life but leaves behind memories that lasts a lifetime. Fortunately I was one of the few lucky ones to have witnessed the founding and inauguration of this wonderful institution dedicated to the fine arts.Today, decades later, many young musicians and artists have blossomed under the guidance and tutelage of Maa chinmayi

We have been associated with the URise India Foundation for 10+ years. Anjana is a very committed and hardworking Bharatnatyam teachers. She strives to create perfection in her students both for Nrita and Abinaya. She is a great choreographer and creates mesmerizing performances for both solo and group performances. The Arangetram of my daughters is a good e.g. of Anjana’s commitment, hard work and talent.  We could see how Anjana transformed our daughters into professional Bharatanatyam dancers. Anjana is a life coach as well. All the hard-work towards the perfection of Arangetram that my daughters put in, is helping them prepare for their JEE exams; they got perseverance and confidence they need from their Arangetram drills. I am quite confident to say that being a shisya of Anjana both girls are well prepared for the challenges of life. Thank you Anjana and URise India Foundation.
